Czym jest Windows 10/11 LTSC? Odchudzona edycja wyjaśniona
Edycja enterprise bez aplikacji Sklepu, bez aktualizacji funkcji i z 10-letnim wsparciem — dla kogo i jak ją licencjonować.
LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) is the stripped-down Windows edition built for machines that must stay stable for years — medical devices, kiosks, industrial PCs, digital signage. It gets security updates but NO feature updates, and ships without the Microsoft Store, Cortana, and most bundled apps.
| Windows Pro | Windows LTSC | |
|---|---|---|
| Feature updates | Every year | Never — same build for its entire life |
| Support window | ~24–36 months per release | 5–10 years (IoT LTSC: 10) |
| Preinstalled apps | Store, Copilot, bundled apps | Almost none — no Store by default |
| License channel | OEM / Retail | Volume licensing only (MAK/KMS) |
| Best for | General users | Kiosks, industry, minimal builds |
Who should buy LTSC
- •Machines that must never change behavior — medical, POS, factory floor
- •Low-spec PCs that benefit from the lighter footprint
- •Environments where feature updates break certified software
The honest caveats
- •Volume-licensed — MAK or KMS, no retail channel exists
- •No Microsoft Store by default (can be added back manually)
- •Stuck on its release build — no Copilot/new features later
- •Not legally available for general personal use — intended for specialized devices
Activation
LTSC keys are volume keys — activate online with slmgr /ato, or by phone (slui 4) on isolated machines. Check remaining MAK activations with our PID Checker before deploying.
