Comment activer Windows Server (2022/2019) : clés, KMS et conversion Evaluation
Activation slmgr, convertir une installation Evaluation en version complète sans réinstaller, et KMS vs MAK sur Server.
Server activation uses the same slmgr plumbing as client Windows — plus one Server-specific superpower: converting an installed Evaluation edition to full Standard/Datacenter without reinstalling.
Standard activation
:: Run as Administrator slmgr /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX slmgr /ato slmgr /dlv :: verify — look for "RETAIL" or "VOLUME_MAK" channel
Evaluation → Full (no reinstall)
Running an Evaluation build and bought a key? Convert in place with DISM — takes one reboot:
:: Check current edition DISM /online /Get-CurrentEdition :: Convert Evaluation → Standard with your key DISM /online /Set-Edition:ServerStandard /ProductKey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX /AcceptEula :: For Datacenter: DISM /online /Set-Edition:ServerDatacenter /ProductKey:XXXXX-... /AcceptEula :: Reboot, then activate normally slmgr /ato
KMS vs MAK on Server
- •MAK — key activates each server directly against Microsoft; consumes from a pool. Simplest for a handful of servers or isolated networks (phone activation works).
- •KMS — one KMS host on your LAN activates all volume clients/servers; machines renew every 180 days automatically. Worth it past ~5+ servers.
- •GVLK keys are the KMS-client keys — a server with a GVLK key and no KMS host will never activate.
Edition must match
A Standard key cannot activate Datacenter (or vice versa) — check the installed edition with DISM /Get-CurrentEdition before entering the key. Verify what a key actually is with our PID Checker first.
